Micromax Canvas Gold A300

Micromax, India’s second largest smartphone
vendor, is yet to officially launch the Canvas Gold
A300 smartphone, but it is already available on
Infibeam for a price of Rs 24,000.

Recently Micromax Launched It's Two Windows powered Smartphones In Indua

Earlier this
week multiple rumors about its specs and images
came down on internet suggesting the price to be
under Rs 20,000. But the online retailer Infibeam
is selling it for higher than the expected official
price.

The official price of this smartphone will be
announced only after its launch, which is likely to
happen in a couple of days. Till then Micromax
fans will have to pay the price quoted by
Infibeam, the official price may be less than or
equal to Infibeams price.

The Micromax Canvas
Gold is the latest smartphone from this Indian
manufacturer, it comes with whole load of
upgrades in hardware and software departments.

This device comes with the latest Android KitKat
on board and is powered by MediaTek Octa-Core
processor with a clock speed of 2GHz per core. A
lot of other Octa-Core phones powered by
MediaTek processor come with 1.7GHz clock
speed only.

This device has 2GB RAM and 32GB
internal memory, there is no word on memory
expansion yet but we suspect it wont come with
micro SD card slot and it will support USB OTG
for mass storage devices to communicate.

Amazon Announced 'Fire' Smartphone, with option to see Images in 3D

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos introduces the new
Amazon "Fire" Android based Smartphone on Wednesday.

As expected, Amazon on
Wednesday entered smartphone market with
Fire Phone, a device that has a 4.7-inch screen.

While in terms of specifications Fire Phone
looks similar to a high-end Android phone,
Amazon has utilized its strength as an e-retailer
to equip the device with a few extra features.

The device, which is powered by Android, comes
with a unique user interface, which uses
parallax effect — Amazon calls it Dynamic
Perspective — to offer user 3D-like picture on
the phone screen. The device achieves this
unique user interface by using four front
cameras to always monitor the position of a
user's head and then accordingly adjust the
image on the screen. These four cameras also
work in the dark because they use infrared to
monitor a user.

Fire sports a screen with HD resolution. It has a
2.2GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel
camera with optical image stabilisation, a
dedicated camera button, and stereo speakers.

But hardware is not something that Amazon is
counting on to sell Fire Phone. Instead, the
company is offering several unique features in
the device so that consumers can have better
smartphone experience. Some of these features
are:

  • Free unlimited cloud storage for photos
(probably taken with Fire Phone by a user)
  • Free access to one million songs
  • Firefly: This feature uses the primary camera
in Fire Phone to recognize objects and television
shows and then can show users relevant
information like a Wikipedia page for an object,
a shopping link (obviously from Aamzon
website) to buy the object you are looking at, or
nutrition information for a bottle of soft drink.
Firefly can recognize millions of objects.
  • An app that allows users to seamlessly switch
between reading or listening a book.
  • Amazon Prime Video and Prime Music are
    supported.
  • X-Ray feature that allows a user to access
information related to, for example, a TV show
he is watching is supported on Fire Phone.
  • MayDay: This service will allow customers to
click one button to connect to a customer care
    executive.

"Fire Phone puts everything you love about
Amazon in the palm of your hand—instant
access to Amazon's vast content ecosystem
and exclusive features like the Mayday button,
ASAP, Second Screen, X-Ray, free unlimited
photo storage, and more," said Jeff Bezos,
Amazon.com founder and CEO.

"The Firefly button lets you identify printed web
and email addresses, phone numbers, QR and
bar codes, artwork, and over 100 million items,
including songs, movies, TV shows, and
products—and take action in seconds. We
invented a new sensor system called Dynamic
Perspective that recognizes where a user's head
is relative to the device—we use it to offer
customers a more immersive experience, one-
handed navigation, and gestures that actually
work."

Bezos said that SDK for Firefly and Dynamic
Perspective will be available for developers so
that they could use these features to create
relevant apps. Just like Fire tablets, the Fire
Phone will use Amazon app store and not all
Android apps will be compatible with it.
For now, Fire will be available only in the US
and only through AT&T. The 32GB version of
Fire Phone will cost $199 with a two-year
contract. The 64GB version will cost $299.

India in May) was the first dual-SIM Windows
Phone.

identical with the Canvas Win W092, though it
    features a larger display and a high-resolution
    camera.

The Canvas Win W121 bears a 5-inch HD
display, and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core
Snapdragon 200 SoC that is coupled with 1GB of
    RAM.

It once again features 8GB of built-in storage
that can be expanded via microSD card (up to
32GB). The Canvas Win W121 bears an 8-

    specifications.

Google has Teased the next version of Android 5.0

    Google will Releasing the next
version of Android 5.0, via an image online.

For now, features remain unconfirmed, though
multiple reports indicate the next Android OS will
bring a major design overhaul over the existing
    Android 4.4.3 KitKat.

For those who have not yet noticed, it has been
understood that each of Google's Nexus devices
on Google Play show the time 4:40 on top right
corner, to reflect the current latest version of the
    OS - Android 4.4 KitKat.

    This has been followed
since the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
However, in one of the latest tweets, Google has
posted an image of three Nexus 5 smartphones
and has stated "Get the latest  #WorldCup match
scores and schedules with Google Now on iOS
and @Android," followed by Google Now's link.
Interestingly,  all three smartphones show the time
5:00, indicating the existence of Android 5.0 OS
    version.

Since the tweet was posted just two weeks before
the onset of Google I/O 2014 event, we are
assuming that Google might just give a surprise
    and unveil Android 5.0 OS.

    Not only the next
Android OS, but also Android TV or Google's
Project Hera might also become official.

It's worth noting that since we have been
witnessing a number of design changes in Gmail
and Calendar via some leaks, it can be possible
that Google might also announce the same
    officially.
Android Police has detailed these alleged design
changes and has come up with the theory of
    Quantum Paper.

Quantum Paper is said to be a
    common design framework for developers
through which they can make a unified OS
experience on each device which includes
smartphones, tablets or PCs. One of the key
components of Quantum Paper is said to be
Polymer, an extended Web component which the
developers can work upon to create Web apps.

Some of the Polymer icons were also showcased
last year at the Google I/O, where the Mountain
View giant had said it wants "this elegant UI
framework that works across all form factors, all
devices." UI shown off had included icons, one of
which we can see at today's date in the form of
Camera app icon. A whole bunch of similarly-
styled icons were also leaked in April in an image.
